  The Story


Back in 2002, I was fresh out of college student. I decided to start my own phone card online business.


After a year of coding designing and numerous sleepless nights trying to do it all by myself. I found out that not only it was not impossible to be -your own designer, coder, marketer, strategist, server engineer, host and ISP- I was also reinventing the wheel with each one of these tasks. Making my own brushes on Photoshop when they were already freely available. Making my own html, php, css, and java scripts not knowing there was an abundance of freebies available.


Not only that, but there was plenty of open source solutions that you can build on. So in 2003 YZDesigns.com was born, I finally learned that a single hand cannot clap and that the do it all machine is a myth so I started focusing my efforts on web design. After a dozen projects here and there. It was obvious that we were helping our customers in having nice websites but, all along the way, I felt that something was missing. I felt like I am doing my customers a disservice by only providing them with the design, so my team and I started educating and reminding my clients about the real purpose of a website.
In reality, a website is only as good as how much effort you put in it. I can guarantee that the best designed website is doomed to failure if time and effort are not spent in promoting, marketing and creating a "buzz" around it.


At YZDesigns.com we believe in websites built for conversions, be it sales, a service subscription, a news letter sign up or creating awareness of a certain issue.
